AN arrest has been made on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs in Maldon.
Officers forced the front door open and detained everyone inside the address.
The Maldon town team had acquired a search warrant and officers found a large number of suspected drugs, weapons and cash at the property.
They were seized and an investigation is ongoing.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “The Maldon town team have executed a warrant this morning in the Maldon town area in relation to the supply of class A and B drugs.
“The front door was forced using specialist method of entry equipment and all individuals within the address were detained.
“We have arrested an individual on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs.
“A large quantity of suspected drugs, weapons and cash have been seized.
“The Maldon town team are working hard to acquire search warrants in the Maldon area.
“We will collate our information and then approach the magistrates who will authorise our application if they are satisfied.
“We will now conduct an investigation into our findings and approach the Crown Prosecution Service for authority to charge those concerned.”
