A BAND are staging a charity gig to raise money for the victims of the earthquakes which devastated parts of Turkey and Syria last month.
The Remedy Band are playing a charity concert at St Leonard's Church in Southminster on Saturday, March 11.
The show will include pop and gospel music from the Fifties to the Nineties.
The Dengie and Southminster-based four-piece played the venue about the same time last year to support those suffering from the war in the Ukraine.
The band is made up of Angela Gardner, Jon Greaves, Beth Pratt and Julian May.
Julian said: "This kind of news is difficult for us all to comprehend with the unimaginable suffering and displacement this recent earthquake has bought on the Syrian and Turkish people, and so our programme of music will be thoughtful, uplifting and inviting everyone to a hearty sing-along with the band in order to raise funds for the earthquake victims."
The concert runs from 2pm to 4pm. Admission is £5 on the door.
