A MAN has been charged with multiple offences after being stopped by police.
Klaudio Pjetergjokaj, 25, of Silver Street, Witham was stopped by police in The Street, Danbury, on Tuesday, May 2.
Officers suspected he was using fake documents, had no insurance, no licence and suspected he could be involved in the supply of controlled drugs.
He has since been charged with multiple offences which are possession of identity documents with intent, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, driving without insurance, and obstructing a police officer.
His vehicle was also seized, along with thousands of pounds in cash.
He is due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on June 1.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “A man has been charged with a number of offences after being stopped by officers in Danbury.
“Twenty-five-year-old Klaudio Pjetergjokaj, of Silver Street, Witham, was stopped by officers in The Street on May 2.
“He was arrested and later charged with possession of identity documents with intent, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, driving without insurance, and obstructing a police officer.
“He is next due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on 1 June.”
