THE opportunity to "make a positive difference in the town" is open to applicants.
A total of four vacancies to join the Maldon Town Council as a councillor are open for residents.
The council is looking for members to serve in the term of office which runs until May 2027.
A spokesman for Maldon Town Council said: “Becoming a Town Councillor is an incredible way to engage with your community, represent local interests, and help shape the policies that directly impact Maldon and its residents.
“As a councillor, you will have the chance to work closely with fellow community members, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure that the town's interests are well-served.
“To familiarize yourself with the role and responsibilities of a Town Councillor, we encourage you to visit the National Association of Local Councils' (NALC) website at www.nalc.gov.uk/elections.
“Here, you will find valuable information about the duties, expectations, and the important role that councillors play in the democratic process.
“Maldon Town Council is keen to welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences who can contribute their unique perspectives to local decision making.
“Whether you have a specific area of interest or are passionate about a particular issue affecting Maldon, your voice can make a difference.”
