A UNIQUE event which brought fairy fans together was held at a museum.
The Essex Faery Fayre was held at the Museum of Power in Langford.
Fairy enthusiasts came in fancy dress to the magical event.
The event was first held in 2019 and has been a success since then.
There was entertainment from Alive and Kicking clog dancers, Hara Dance, Barefoot Connection and singing from Eladria Ethersong.
Marcia Mason wrote and read a fairy story for the event, which left children in awe.
useum of Power events manager Lyz Le Fay said: “Even the morning was a warm one as we finished setting up for the arrival of the fae on this warm June day at the Museum of Power.
“It didn’t stop people coming in the 28-degree heat. We had plenty of shade from the trees to keep cool.
“From beginning to end, the magic flowed. People came, meeting up with friends and family, some making new friends.
“There were crafts in the marquee making a collage of a dragon as well as crafts over at our pavilion on the field with the Crafty Cabin.
“Astaria wove its magic with magical bubbles and crystals. The miniature railway gave adventurers rides around the grounds.
“We had food, drinks and ice cream along with our Steam Pump tea room being open.
“At the end of the day, there was judging to be done to crown the best faery queen, king, prince, princess and royal pet.
“With many thanks to all those who made this event happen, all the staff and volunteers of the Museum of Power and thank you to all those who attended, bringing their own magic with them.
“Our next event will be Langford Country Fair and Classic Car Show on July 23, where we will have agricultural and horticultural exhibits, classic cars from pre 1920s to 1960, along with a variety of other interesting exhibits.
“This will be a typical country fair, with local crafters and artists too, artisan food, entertainment, a dog show, games and more.”
