HUNDREDS of visitors enjoyed a fun day filled with classic vehicles and entertainment for charity.
Mayland Classic Car and Motorbike Family Fun Day returned to Lawling Park Playing Field for a day of activities.
The event - sponsored by the Mortgage Organiser and BMG Classic and Retro - helped raise funds for the Henry Samuel Hall Restoration Fund.
The village's first ever classic car show was held last year in aid of the restoration project.
The hall is believed to be one of the first demountable buildings in the UK and work is ongoing to restore it.
This year saw just as much success as the last with a huge range of cars, bikes and military vehicles in attendance.
Many also participated in a junior dog show which saw owners winning prizes.
Organiser Linda Haywood said: “This was the second time we have held this event and from the comments and smiles that we got from everyone leaving the show at the end of the day, it was once again a resounding success.
“We had nearly 500 exhibitors. These ranged from a pre-war, three-wheeled Morgan to an almost brand new Lamborghini.
“There were sports cars, kit cars, American and muscle cars, family saloons through to vans, lorries, buses and three fire engines - enough to suit anybody's tastes.
“Uncle Albert came along with the vehicles from Only Fools and Horses plus Mr Bean's mini.
“We also had a visit from Mark from the TV programme Classic Car Garage and he kindly did some judging for us.
“There was a variety of stalls and food vendors who were kept busy throughout the day.
“Our own refreshment area was run off its feet and it's a credit to everyone in there that they kept going.
“Our thanks must go to everyone who came along, the volunteers who put the show together and to Mayland Parish Council for allowing us to use the park.
“The money raised will go to local charities and the continued renovation of the Henry Samuel Hall. See you all next year.”
