TRAFFIC has been diverted from a main road throughout the morning and this afternoon following a crash involving two vehicles.
The B1010 Fambridge Road has been closed in both directions following a crash.
The incident was first reported just before 11am this morning and the closure remains ongoing.
A number of emergency service response vehicles have been witnessed at the scene, including two air ambulances.
A member of the public who had a view of the scene following the crash said: “There are two air ambulances and multiple emergency response vehicles in attendance.
“Appears to be more than one vehicle involved.”
A spokesman for the AA said: “Road closed due to crash, two vehicles involved on B1010 Fambridge Road both ways from The B1012 to St Stephens Road. Traffic is coping well.”
The emergency services have been contacted for more information.
