BAIL conditions have been extended for a man arrested following allegations involving the safeguarding of children and financial crime.
A man has been re-bailed as part of an investigation from Essex Police, but a formal charge is still yet to have been made.
The man is publicly known to have been previously involved in the Maldon Carnival.
Current carnival chairman, Keith Howes confirmed the man is no longer part of the event.
Further details are not yet known as the investigation is ongoing.
A spokesman for Essex Police confirmed: “The arrested man has been re-bailed until 12 January 2024.”
