A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital after suffering injuries during a crash involving an electric motorbike and another vehicle on a busy Essex road.
Emergency services rushed to reports of a serious crash in Essex Regiment Way (A1016), Chelmsford, at about 9am on November 17.
After arriving at the scene it was established a motorbike and another vehicle had been involved in a smash, resulting in the motorcycling being injured.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We were called to reports of a collision in Essex Regiment Way, Chelmsford, at about 8.55am on Friday.
"It was reported an electric motorbike had collided with a vehicle.
"The motorcyclist has sustained injuries not thought to be life threatening or life changing and has been taken to hospital."
Following the incident police officers closed the road, resulting in a build-up of traffic in Essex Regiment Way, in both directions, from Channels Drive to Regiment Gate.
"The road was closed while officers and emergency service colleagues carry out their work, and reopened about 12.05pm," added the police spokesman.
The current condition of the injured motorist is unknown at this point in time.
