HUNDREDS of pounds have been raised by a school during an education-themed week.
Purleigh Community Primary School held an Entrepreneur Week which gave pupils in all year groups to chance to experience a taste of different job roles.
The youngsters tried out designing and making a product, working out costs, advertising and predicting profits.
After the completion of the products, the children were able to walk around the school to shop for their favourite items.
More than £300 was raised from the sale of the products made.
The money is set to be divided between the Children in Need charity and spread between classrooms to buy some new wet-play equipment.
A Purleigh Community Primary School spokesman said: “The children have had a wonderful week being entrepreneurs.
“Each class from early years to year six has taken part. All led to the fantastic sale morning we had, where the children could go round the school to shop for their favourite items.
“Great fun was had by all, with profits exceeding £300.”
