A PERSON was trapped inside their vehicle after it flipped on to its side during a crash in a village.
The crash involved two vehicles on a main road in Danbury this morning.
Little Baddow Road was partially blocked both ways from Runsell Lane to Lingwood Close, causing queuing traffic in the area.
A live traffic map from the AA showed slow traffic on the approach to the roundabout from Mayes Lane and the A414 Main Road.
Essex Police were in attendance alongside the Essex fire service and East of England Ambulance Service.
Police said the incident was being treated as "a minor injury collision with no offences identified".
A spokesman for the Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters were called to an incident on Little Baddow Road, Danbury at 9.13am today.
"On arrival, crews confirmed that it was a collision between two vehicles. One vehicle was on its side with one person trapped.
"Firefighters worked to free the casualty and made the scene safe by 9.42am. The casualty was left in the care of the ambulance service."
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 9.08am with reports of a collision in Little Baddow Road, Danbury.
"We sent an ambulance and an ambulance officer vehicle. Two patients were discharged at the scene."
