A VEHICLE fire has caused for section of a busy Essex road to be closed off.
Motorists are to expect delays and traffic congestion on a A12 Southbound slip road due to a vehicle fire reported at 7.39am by traffic control.
The slip road at the A130 Howe Green, the A12's junction 17, is closed due to the fire.
Queues are expected on the A130 northbound approaching the A12.
A spokesman from Essex County Fire and Rescue has commented on the incident.
They said: "Crews were called to the A12, between junction 17 and 18, at 6.35am this morning after reports of a car fire.
"Firefighters extinguished the fire by 7am and left the scene in the care of the Police. "
