A PERSON was arrested after cash and cocaine were discovered by police officers in Maldon.
Essex Police’s Operational Support Group (OSG) arrested an individual on Friday, on suspicion of possession of cocaine with intent to supply.
The Maldon Town Team are leading the investigation and have since taken evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service, who have authorised charges.
The person has been remanded and will be presented before the magistrates on Monday.
Sgt Matt Dalbs of the Maldon Town Team said: “This was a great arrest by our colleagues from the Operational Support Group.
“The Maldon Town Team have conducted a diligent investigation and have secured charges against the suspect.
“We will continue to target and disrupt drug dealing in the Maldon area.”
