A MAN was rescued by firefighters after a crash which caused chaos across Maldon.
Yesterday afternoon, two vehicles reportedly collided on the A414 between London Road and Heybridge Road.
A man was left trapped in his vehicle and firefighters worked to remove the roof from the vehicle to free him. He was left in the care of the ambulance service.
The police were called at about 2.40pm to reports of a multi-vehicle collision. The fire service was later called at 3.07pm.
The crash caused severe delays in Maldon and Heybridge as the road was closed following the accident and oil spillage.
