TWO restaurants in the district have been handed new food hygiene ratings.
Tesco Family Dining Limited at Tesco in Fullbridge was given the maximum score of five after assessment on January 12, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
Meanwhile, Blackwater Quay in Mayland was given a four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
It came after assessment on December 13.
The scores mean that of Maldon's 104 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 74 (71 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
