A WEIGHT loss support group based in Maldon celebrated its latest anniversary.
EC Weigh was founded in January 2017 by Emma Chapman.
The group celebrated its anniversary with an ‘Oscars’-style event.
Emma said: “This year’s Oscars celebration was fitting for the year that has passed - uplifting, inspiring and oh so motivating.”
Classes are on Wednesdays at 6pm at Langford Village Hall and on Fridays at 10am at the URC Hall in Market Hill, Maldon.
Each winner is handpicked by Emma from the 90-plus members for weight loss or other achievements throughout the year.
One winner, Kirsty, is four-and-a-half stone lighter than last April.
She said: “I have met the most amazing friends who both support and inspire me weekly.”
Another winner, Louise, has maintained her ‘happy weight’ after losing four stone while Mandy is now seven-and-a-half stone lighter.
Final winner Dave said: “I love the fact there's no plan, we do what works for us individually, with the encouragement of amazing friends”.
The aim of the group is to enjoy food while improving health.
Emma added: “When you're lucky enough to find a role that you adore, you simply never work another day.”
“To all ECW members past and present, thank you - bring on year eight.”
