BOSSES at a café in Maldon say are looking ahead after facing challenges and are discussing possible new ideas for the business.
Café Brazil offers authentic Brazilian cuisine at the top of Maldon High Street.
Although the business had been listed as for sale on Rightmove, the advertisement has now been removed after being published due to a "miscommunication".
The café says it is moving forward and continuing to welcome diners.
Diego Bastos Machado, who has the biggest share in the family-run business, told the Standard how the pandemic had presented “challenges”, with the outbreak happening just two years after the business launched.
He said: “We managed to keep the door open.
“I think we have quite a nice customer base, they like the restaurant.”
Diego has aspirations to expand the business further but says it is not a straightforward process.
He said: “Of course, we want to grow and expand but sometimes you have to do things slowly”.
Having formerly been in charge with a partner, Diego said the other member of the partnership has now returned to Brazil.
Despite this, Diego stressed he is still at Café Brazil which is continuing to offer what they have always done.
He said the business aims to provide the best customer service they can and the chefs make the ”best food they can”.
