A SINGER with more than three decades of experience under his belt is stopping off in Maldon on a rare tour.
Brooks Williams is a singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist, who was born in the state of Georgia in the United States.
He has a musical style which combines different genres including country, blues and folk.
He will perform in the Long Room of the historic Blue Boar Hotel on February 16, at 8pm.
The Maldon show will be the first of the tour.
Brooks is also releasing his fourth solo recording in four years - new album Diamond Days.
The show is presented by macTheatre, otherwise known as Maldon Actors Company.
Nicola Esson from macTheatre said: “It’s fantastic to have Brooks Williams play locally.
“He’s played a staggering number of venues and festivals throughout the world, including Cropredy, Shrewsbury, Cambridge, Newport and Winnipeg.
“To hear him at close quarters in such a beautiful setting as the Blue Boar Hotel, Maldon, is going to be very special.”
After his performance, macTheatre and Brooks will continue to collaborate throughout the weekend by taking up residence.
He will also deliver a guitar workshop to inspire players.
Tickets are £18 and are available on www.wegottickets.com or email Nicola@mactheatre.co.uk for details.
