A WEDDING venue in Althorne has been named as the national winner in the prestigious 2024 Guides for Brides Customer Service Awards.
High House Weddings uses a Grade II listed ceremony barn as well as luxury accommodation.
The good news for High House Weddings comes after they were named East of England's Countryside Wedding Venue of the Year for 2024 at the Wedding Industry Awards.
Nikita Thorne, who presented the “Guides for Brides” award to High House at a black-tie ceremony in Oxford, said: “For nearly 30 years, Guides for Brides has been at the forefront of promoting venues that can meet the needs of modern couples, and this always revolves around exceeding all expectations in customer care.
“As an industry expert and a newlywed, I know how crucial it is for couples to know the best people to contact for their wedding. These awards are based on reviews from couples, so all of our winners should be extremely proud.”
The Crouch Valley venue is expanding its offerings this spring, for wedding guests to stay overnight in the 11-bedroom farmhouse, converted into luxury ensuite accommodation.
Samantha MacLean, sales manager at High House, said: "We are delighted to have won this award.
“Our team works hard to ensure every wedding day is really special, and in a setting like High House it isn't difficult.
“Couples love the relaxed feel and the fabulous photo opportunities. It's always been a popular venue for local couples, but this national recognition will help draw more couples to Essex to experience a perfect English country wedding."
