A CHARITY-run museum is looking for new members to join its team.
Maldon Museum in The Park, in Mill Road, is holding interviews for new trustees to shape the work and strategic direction of the museum.
The educational tourist attraction is based in an Edwardian lodge situated next to Promenade Park and houses a collection which reflects the town and district’s history over the last two centuries.
Some of the artifacts on display include cinema memorabilia, a model of the Maldon East Railway station, an old fire engine, baker’s oven, and old shopfront signage, and other remnants of a bygone era.
The museum is open 1pm to 4pm, Wednesday to Sundays.
Its up to the volunteering trustees to make sure all decisions made in connection to the museum benefit the public, and trustees are appointed for a term of three years.
As part of being a trustee, the group will meet between three to six times a year and carry out work in between the meetings.
Ideally, the museum is looking for the right candidate to have a legal or business background in effort to complement the existing team’s skillset, but it is not essential.
Anyone interested in applying for the unpaid position should email, trustees@maldonmuseum.onmicrosoft.com.
The closing date is May 31.
