ONE of the UK’s largest construction materials distributors has refurbished its Maldon branch, introducing a host of innovative features.

Travis Perkins will start offering its Travis Perkins Hire service, which provides tradespeople and general builders with easier access to a wide range of tools and specialist equipment.

A larger yard has also been created, increasing the storage capacity for building materials, landscaping and timber supplies.

Connor Newman, branch manager at Travis Perkins Maldon, said: "It's been a few months in the making, but we’re really excited to share our better than ever branch.

"We’ve expanded and refurbished our facilities to provide even more building, landscaping and timber supplies and hire products to our customers.

"Our team has years of experience and first-hand knowledge."

Customers can transact through the branch, online or via an app.

The app allows customers to check stock availability from their branch, and make instant orders priced according to their trade rates.

Other services include a one-hour click and collect service, next-day delivery, and branch delivery tracking.

The refurbished Maldon branch, located at Galliford Road, is open weekdays from 7.30am to 5pm, and 8am to 12noon on Saturdays.
