STOW MARIES Aerodrome is preparing for some unique events to captivate history buffs.
Stow Maries Great War living history weekend
The first event is a living history weekend, which starts on July 27 and finishes on July 28.
This event will give people a real sense of what it would be like to live in the period of the Great War.
As the last remaining First World War aerodrome, visitors can expect a unique experience and it will also allow access to all galleries, the hangars of aircrafts, access to all living history camps and displays, Airmen’s Mess Café and free parking.
Adult admissions will cost £11, with junior admissions costing £8.

Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome escape room experience
Stow Maries will be hosting a special escape room event, on July 20.
The theme of the escape room is the start of the First World War and London is under attack. Stow Maries is perfectly situated to intercept the German Zeppelins coming down the North Sea coast heading for the capital.
Players have just 60 minutes to scramble their pilots so they can take down the giant bombers.
It is crucial for players to work together to work out a series of puzzles and logistical problems to get the planes airborne.
Places can be booked between one and six players, equating to a total of £105. Between six it works out at £17.50 each.
