MAGISTRATES will try a 22-year-old man for allegedly exposing himself from his window.

Joe Beadle is accused of gaining the attention of three people and then performing a sexual act on March 6, and twice on March 12 of this year.

Pretty Barber, prosecuting, outlined the case against Beadle, who was accompanied by his family at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

She said: “This is a case where, on three separate occasions, the defendant, whilst within his property, is said to have coughed to get the attention of the victims.”

The court heard Beadle allegedly performed a sex act in the view of three different women.

Beadle, of Vine Road, Tiptree, denies three counts of exposure and will stand trial on May 12 next year at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court.

The complainants will give evidence from behind a screen, the court was told.

Magistrates granted Beadle unconditional bail and told him he may be committing an offence if he does not show up on the day of his trial.
