A MALDON based care home requires improvement following an inspection, with the home taking immediate action to improve circumstances.
Brewster House, located on Oak Road, Maldon was given a requires 'improvement' grading, on two of the five assessment points by Care Quality Commission.
Of the five assessment points, it requires improvement in the safe and well-led front areas.
The other three assessment points - effective, caring and responsive were graded as good.
A spokesman for Runwood Homes said: “We are saddened to see a slip in two out of five domains of the report to requires improvement.
"We note the very positive comments from residents and relatives who live at and visit Brewster House which retains a good rating in caring, effective and responsive domains.
“Immediate action was taken to address the areas of concern which included a management change.
"We are ready for reinspection at which point we will undoubtedly achieve an overall good rating which is the minimum standard we expect.”
The Care Quality Commission report said: “Brewster House is a residential care home providing personal care to older people, some of whom are living with dementia.
“We completed this assessment from April 23 to April 26 2024.
"This was a responsive assessment, covering ten quality statements.
“We found three breaches of the legal regulations in relation to safe care and treatment, safeguarding and governance.”
