TRAFFIC restrictions have been put in place at a business park as remedial works take place.

Essex Highways bosses are advising residents of works taking place on Wycke Hill Business Park in Maldon, which began on Saturday.

The works will be supported by temporary restrictions for “approximately three weeks”.

A statement from Essex Highways reads: “The developer of the newly constructed retail park (new Costa Coffee) will be carrying out remedial works to their entrance, where it meets the mini roundabout on Wycke Hill Business Park.

“Although much of the work will take place overnight, this will involve deep excavations requiring temporary traffic restrictions to remain in place for the safety of road users throughout the duration of the work.

“To keep traffic flows moving within the business park as much as possible, and to prevent delays to Wycke Hill Roundabout which also serves A414 Maldon Road, Limebrook Way and Wycke Hill, a traffic operative will be on site 24 hours a day to monitor the temporary signals in use.

“These remedial works are funded by the developer, and are at no cost to Essex taxpayers.”
