A CHARITY music evening will see a soul singer take to the stage to raise money for his daughter who was given six months to live... six years ago.
Kenny Thomas, most known for his hits 'Thinking About Your Love' and his cover of the Gap Band's 'Outstanding', is performing to raise money for his daughter's ongoing cancer treatment.
The event will be held outside in the Round Bush Pub in Maldon.
As well as Kenny Thomas performing, there will also be a support act and DJ Aadil from Crackers Radio.
Kenny’s daughter, Christina, was given six months to live six months ago and he has continually raised money for her ever since.
Since then he has even re-mortgaged his house to help pay for private treatments in Germany and Switzerland.
Kenny’s efforts have been very successful and Christina continues to make progress, and the latest diagnosis is that the tumour has actually began to shrink.
With more treatments due in the coming months, this event will help raise money towards it, as well as assisting the Latchingdon Young Farmers association, for them to purchase a new guide dog for the blind.
The event will take place on Saturday August 24, with doors opening at 7pm.
Tickets are £15 each and VIP tickets are £25.
The outdoor performance will finish at 11pm but VIP ticket holders will be able to continue with the after party till around midnight in the pub.
The event is also being supported by Zero Radio, who are providing web banners and a free advert to help, as well as Maldon District Council.
To book tickets, contact 01621 502345, or they can be collected from the Round Bush pub.
