SPECTACULAR displays were on show in Maldon as a successful circus group wowed the town over the bank holiday.
Circus Cortex has been showcasing their Golden Age show at the Maldon Promenade.
The circus started on August 22 and ran until August 26.
The latest circus show was full of family entertainment for all ages, with visitors immersed in the captivating story of the Golden Age shown through the mesmerizing art of circus.
Shows included breathtaking acrobatics, graceful dance routines, and thrilling stunts.
There were high wire acts, upside-down walks, rola rola balances and chair-stacking feats, keeping members of the audience on the edge of their seats.
Daniel Reed went to see the performance with his daughter and enjoyed snapping some pictures of the artists during the show.
He said: “I went to see the show with my little girl and had my camera there just in case, I'm so glad I took it as I ended up taking over 2,000 photos.
“The costumes were superbly crafted and designed and the music gave it such a joyful feeling.
“Acrobatics as well as upside down sky walks, high-wire displays and the bath scene were my personal favourites.
"The slap stick comedy elements entertained all the audience and my daughter was in stitches as two or three of the performers would entertain the crowd while the set was changed.
“Always something to look at and amazing popcorn made fresh on stage as well as drinks served.
"I noted they had places for wheelchair user's and we were all seated inside the big top.
What a great family day, stunning atmosphere, amazing to watch and great staff too.”
