A BRAVE woman from has completed a terrifying wing walk in aid of Dementia UK.
Nicola Comper, 56, from North Fambridge, runs a business called Happy Toes, a toenail cutting service, where a lot of her patients suffer from dementia.
This gave Nicola the idea to do a wing walk in aid of Dementia UK, which she completed this week.
After completing her wing walk, Nicola said: "Richard and the team from The Wing Walking Company (Headcorn Kent) made the whole experience just brilliant from the moment we all arrived, and to be honest I was extremely nervous.
"After watching a few people do it before I did everyone was buzzing, so this put me at ease, as did all the staff.
"If I could have gone up again I would have, it was just the most magical experience of my life. I loved every single second of the flight so difficult to even describe.
"It would have been my dads birthday today so that made the experience super special to us all, the skies where blue the sun was out just perfect in every way."
The fundraising is not over as one of Nicola's friends who runs the River Breeze North Fambridge asked if she could help by starting a raffle.
Lots of the locals are donating prizes too, with one being a meal for two at The Savoy Gordan Ramsey.
Nicola said it was also important for her to raise awareness for Admiral Nurses, which support families with Dementia.
Nicola continued saying: "I had no idea there are only 400 Admiral Nurses and not everyone would be able to have one due to the shortage.
"To top it all I have raised over £2,000 to raise awareness for them.
"I have not spoken to one person who has heard of Admiral Nurses, just by having a conversation and spreading the word it should make that difference and that's what I want to do more than anything."
