A family have paid a heartfelt tribute to a ‘selfless’ and ‘inspirational’ mother who died following a tragic crash.

Janet Finch, 66, from Hullbridge, Rochford, died following a crash between a lorry and car on the A132, Burnham Road, South Woodham Ferrers at around 4pm on August 13.

The 66-year-old died at the scene despite the best efforts of paramedics.

Janet’s family have now paid tribute to her and said she will be remembered as a ‘kind,’ ‘remarkable,’ and strong person, as well as a loving partner and mother.

They said: “Janet was a kind person who lived her life selflessly, putting the needs of others before her own.

“A truly remarkable, strong, independent soul, who was sadly taken from her friends and family on 13 August.

“She was a loving caring partner, a solid, inspirational mother and gentle nurturing grandmother.

“Janet loved all her family including her brother, nieces and nephews and she leaves behind a vast community of friends who she loved and who loved her.

“You were taken from us all far too early, yet your memory will live on in us all for years to come.

“Rest in peace, Mum.”

A man, 41, the driver of the lorry, was arrested and has been released under investigation while police continue their enquiries.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything or have any dashcam footage to contact them.
