THE Museum of Power has hosted another successful American Car Show with more people attending than last year.

Around 250 American cars were showcased at the Museum of Power as more than 1,300 people came to enjoy the day and see some unique cars.

Lyz Le Fay, events manager at the Museum of Power said: “The day was fantastic, and the weather really helped.

“The day before the event we had a drive through Maldon High Street with around 20-30 American cars.

“We had around 1,300 people come through the gates on the day, which was more than last year so we did very well.”

Aside from the cars, the event also had a band the ‘Blazin Aces’, who were there to offer further entertainment to the crowd.

There were also six categories for those who brought their cars, in categories such as ‘best muscle’ and ‘best classic’, with the winners decided by members of the public.

The event raised money for the charity ‘Ben’, which aims to support people with housing and help starting their lives after bad episodes.

The American Car Show managed to raise £950 for the cause which will go a long way to supporting some of the people who ‘Ben’ work with.
