PUNTERS are preparing another beer and cider festival coming to South Woodham Ferrers in October.

The 12th South Woodham Ferrers Beer and Cider Festival will be held across three days at the South Woodham Village Hall next month.

The beer festival will have up to 32 ales on offer, of which 12 will be from local brewers, with the remainder being sourced from around the country.

Cider lovers are catered for as well with a choice of 12 to choose from, with hot and cold food also available for visitors.

This year’s commemorative festival glass features the D-Day landings.

The festival is sponsored by local breweries, Crouch Vale, Mighty Oak and Wibblers along with The Cap and Feathers in Tillingham.

This year’s supported charity is the Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome, Europe's largest surviving aerodrome.

It is a First World War Military aviation museum which celebrates the importance of the early air forces in the Great War between 1914 and 1918.

The event is from Thursday, October 3 to Saturday, October 5.

It will be open between the hours of 2pm until 11pm on Thursday and 12pm until 11pm on Friday and Saturday.

More information will be available on the CAMRA branch website at maldonanddengiecamra.org.uk/MaldonBeerFestival.
