BURNHAM welcomed the return of a popular pirate display with thousands of people in attendance.
Pirates on the Quay – On Carriburnham Shores, took place at Burnham's seafront.
The event saw more than 10,000 people attend with a multitude of pirates coming from all over the country.
The event had a number of different activities for all the family and a Thames barge was docked for people to get a look at.
The Thames barge, named Cambria, was the last sailing barge trading under sail, without an engine.
Food was available from The Anchor and The Victoria Inn food courts with drinks bought from The Ship and Ye Olde White Harte.
Entertainment was also provided by The Captain's Beard, The Swashbucklers and Burnham's very own Bassett and Fraser.
Organiser Ant Brentnall said: “It was incredible, I’ve been trying to build it up again since Covid.
“I’m very proud of the event and it was great to help pubs and businesses.
“We had lots of pirates come from all over the country and we did a bit about the history of the sea and life on the east coast.
“It’s so important to get kids interested in sailing and for them to see where it all started.”
