FAMOUS British MC, comedian and TV personality, Big Narstie is set to open a town's new medical cannabis office.
The London-based celebrity is opening the site at the former Barclay's bank in South Woodham Ferrers' Queen Elizabeth Square.
The branch closed last year.
Big Narstie, whose real name is Tyrone Mark Lindo, will be opening the office in South Woodham to host his medical cannabis business – Big Narstie Medical.
The intention of the business is to deliver "high-quality medicinal cannabis" to patients who are based in the UK.
In a video which was posted on September 7 on Big Narstie’s Instagram page, he is seen stood outside the old Barclay’s Bank in Queen Elizabeth Square.
He says: “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Big Narstie medical office.
“This will be the new home away from home. Here we can improve patient care and take this medical cannabis business to another level."
Since medical cannabis was legalised in the UK back in November 2018, cannabis-based products could finally be prescribed for medicinal use, where clinically appropriate and in the best interest of the patient.
Medical cannabis is most likely to be prescribed to patients with conditions such as severe forms of epilepsy, chemotherapy-induced nausea, muscle stiffness caused by multiple sclerosis and sometimes for long-term pain.
Big Narstie released his first mix CD in 2012 and won the 2012 Urban Music Award (UMAs) for Best Grime Act.
He has performed at a number of festivals across Europe including The Wireless Festival.
