A COMMUNITY mindfulness event held to encourage people to come and talk about how they are feeling, saw great success.
Organised by Maldon District Council and Heybridge District Council at Plantation Hall, the event saw many residents go along for a chat and some relaxation.
The event gave people the opportunity to engage with friendly therapy dogs, relax with some mindfulness colouring, or puzzle books, enjoy a hot drink, and take up the opportunity to engage with services.
The therapy dogs were a hit, bringing smiles and calm to everyone they met.
A spokesman from Maldon District Council said: “We were very pleased with how well this event was received and we are grateful for the support of the partners and all those who attended.
"Following this, we will certainly be considering a range of events for next year.
"A huge thank you to our amazing partners for their support: Essex Therapy Dogs , Les Davis Tri-Service Rural Community Officer, Maldon and District CVS, Essex Police - Maldon District, and many others.
"Your presence made the event even more special.
"The Maldon District Community Safety Partnership is committed to engaging with our community through various activities throughout the year. Stay tuned for more events coming your way."
