A DOG has been saved by firefighters after it became trapped following a chase with a fox.
Playful pooch Bell and her sister were chasing a fox in the garden in Cross Road, Maldon, when she got trapped under the shed.
While her sister managed to escape, Bell and the fox both got stuck.
Firefighters from Chelmsford were called to the scene to assist.
Watch manager Nathan Godfrey said: “Crews worked quickly to dig out the side of the shed to release the fox, which was huge.
"Once the fox was out of the way crews cut the floorboards out of the shed to release Bell.
"Both Bell and the fox came to no harm and we were able to reunite her with her happy owners."
