RESIDENTS of Maldon and surrounding areas have been alerted to a potential flood risk for tonight.
The flood alert has been issued for tonight between the hours of 23.30pm and 1.30am.
The flood alert comes as a result of tides expected to be higher than usual and this could result in minor flooding to coastal roads and footpaths.
The affected areas include the coastline from Salcott-Cum-Virley to Bradwell-on-Sea, covering Maldon, Tollesbury, Goldhanger, Heybridge and Heybridge Basin, Osea and Northey Island, Mayland, and Maylandsea.
