IT was all eyes to the skies as Bradwell Waterside Air Display returned at the weekend.
The display was put on by the Green Man pub and saw aerial entertainment take place in the afternoon on Saturday.
The show commemorated the history of RAF Bradwell on the Essex coast, including military vehicles.
The event also saw performances from wing walkers as the fearless performers sat thousands of feet up with the crowd watching on.
RAF Bradwell has a rich history, being a poignant base during World War II.
During the war, Bradwell Bay airfield was a front-line air base, named RAF Bradwell Bay at the time.
It had been a grass runway airfield suitable as a temporary base, for refuelling and for training, especially for pilots practising targeting, shooting and bombing on nearby Foulness, Maplin Sands and the Dengie Marshes.
This history was honoured as a military display gave people an idea of what it would have been like to see these planes flying above.
The show coincided with the 80th anniversary of Arnhem commemorations, which also took place over the weekend.
