Residents are invited to give their opinions on a proposed housing development in Southminster.
The project, put forward by Bloor Homes, is set to provide up to 249 homes on land north of Scotts Hill.
Of these, 30 per cent will be affordable housing, with options available for first-time buyers.
The plans include creating more than four hectares of parkland, with hedgerows, trees, wildflower areas, and ponds with the aim of creating a "biodiversity net gain" of at least 10 per cent.
The development will also include a village green, trails, and play areas, with improved pedestrian and cycling links.
A Bloor Homes representative said: "Bloor Homes is committed to delivering a development that not only addresses the significant need for housing in Southminster, and within the district generally, but also reflects the feedback we've received following the previous planning application."
The planned houses, a mix of family homes and bungalows, will have sustainable features including electric vehicle charging points and air source heat pumps.
The plans have been shaped by feedback from a previous planning application and aim to meet the housing demands identified in the Maldon Local Plan Review 2021.
The public engagement event is scheduled from 3pm to 6pm on Tuesday, November 26 at Southminster Memorial Hall.
