A MALDON practitioner has been named as the best new chiropractor in the country at an awards ceremony.
Charlotte Mackie, 26, a chiropractor based at Advanced Chiropractic in Maldon, has been named New Chiropractor of the Year at the 2024 British Chiropractic Association Excellence Awards.
The awards ceremony celebrated outstanding achievements within the chiropractic profession across the UK.
In just her first year of practice, judges said Ms Mackie had made remarkable contributions to patient-centred care, professional development, and community engagement.
She has worked closely with GPs, sports teams, and wellness groups to promote integrated healthcare, earning praise for her compassionate and thorough approach to patient care.
Her dedication has attracted a steady flow of referrals.
Beyond her clinical work, Ms Mackie has completed her post-registration training with the Royal College of Chiropractors while maintaining an active sporting career, representing England at the Commonwealth Games.
She said: "It is an honour to receive this award and to be recognised for my contributions within the profession over the past year.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed providing specialised chiropractic care, injury prevention, and health advice to my local communities and sports clubs.
"I would also like to thank my colleagues and mentors at Advanced Chiropractic for their unwavering support. I look forward to many more years of serving my community as a chiropractor.”
Association president Tim Button commended the high standard of this year’s nominees.
He said: "The care our members provide in their communities is vital. Congratulations to Charlotte and all the winners for their incredible achievements.
"We look forward to seeing your continued success as we approach 2025."
