Fish and chips has long been a favourite meal among Brits, and people all over the world.

Michelin-starred restaurant chef labels fish and chips "most overrated food"

But chef Dominic Chapman doesn't seem to agree with the positive assessment of fish and chips provided by YouGov.

Chapman has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants across the UK with the likes of Heston Blumenthal.

The chef, who describes his signature dish as rabbit lasagne, has recently opened Restaurant Dominic Chapman in Henley-on-Thames which, according to its website, serves "classic, uncomplicated, and flavoursome British dishes".

Fish is a "a particular love" for Chapman, according to Great British Chefs, and it features on his current menu in the form of Cornish cod, squid ragu, chorizo gnocchi and purple sprouting broccoli.

But it seems he doesn't like all fish, as when asked "what's the most overrated food" in an interview with Restaurant recently he answered: "Fish and chips from a fish and chip shop."
