MALDON Rugby Club are looking forward to kicking-off the new season.
They begin their Essex League division one campaign at home against fierce rivals Dagenham on Saturday.
They will be led out by their newly appointed club captain Sam Delderfield-King for kick-off at 3pm at Drapers Farm Playing Fields, Heybridge.
Spectators are welcome at no charge.
The club will also be hosting their annual family fun-day on the same day. This is a free event for children to come down to the club and enjoy bouncy castles and other inflatable rides.
There will also be a barbecue and some classic cars on show.
The fun day begins at 2.30pm until 6.30pm.
Maldon’s third VX are also in action taking on Millwall thirds.
Also the club is showing the Rugby World Cup 2015 Ireland v Canada match on the big screen at the club, which kicks-off at 2.30pm.
