THE Forrester Park ladies played the first round of their winter league over 12 holes.
The winner was Mel Kuhl with 24 points with Claire Turner beating Jan Partner on countback, both with 22 points.
The men’s competition was the monthly medal and in the gold division Brian Corderoy came out on top with nett 68, with Clive Walby second on nett 73.
Michael Pierce won the silver division with nett 73, beating Paul Messenger on countback.
The bronze division was won by Mike Manning with nett 72 with Dale Rayner second on nett 76.
The veterans’ competition was also a medal played in very windy conditions which, combined with the leaves on the course, led to 25 per cent of the field not recording a score.
The winner of the gold division was Eric Hoffman with nett 69.
Alan Wilson was second with nett 74 and Steve Badjonat was the best of four players all on nett 76.
The silver division was won by John Mirams with nett 72 and he had a five shot margin over Mike Donovan and Gerald Pearson who both had nett 77.
Dave Curtis was the winner of the bronze division with nett 72, with Will Wass in second place with nett 75. Dave Hannan took third place with nett 77.
With the best score in the competition, Eric Hoffman also won the Jim Bailey trophy.
