TWENTY-SIX Forrester Park ladies braved the cold conditions and played the fifth round of their 12-hole winter league on a frosty but sunny day.
The competition was won by Carol Plato with 24 points.
Doreen Mortlock was second, beating Mel Kuhl on count back, both with 21 points. The veterans’ competition was a combined stableford which resulted in a comfortable win for Ted Moulds and David Reynolds with 71 points. Ron Stovell and John Sutton were second with 67 points after a countback, which relegated Mike Donovan and Terry Drew to third place. Mike Manning and Roy Valentine picked up the prize for fourth place with 66 points.
The Sunday competition was the penultimate round of the men’s winter league and most of the qualifiers for the knockout stage have now been sorted.
