THE Forrester Park ladies played an American greensomes this week over 12 holes.

The winning pair was Maggie Laws and Judy Podd with 23 points.

Lorraine Wilson and Jo Dixon beat Nona Straker and Carol Manning, on countback, for second place, both with 22 points.

The men’s competition was the February medal where, in the gold division, the winner was Kevin Royan with nett 68.

Mark Jeffrey was in second place with nett 72.

Nigel Conde had the best round of the day, an exceptional nett 63, to win the silver division.

Don Grimsey was second with another very good round of nett 65.

The bronze division was won by Mike Manning with nett 70, from Eric Barker who took second place with net 76.

The veterans played the fifth round of their winter league, a Texas scramble.

This was won by Bryan Bowring and David Reynolds with nett 62, a clear margin from the rest of the field.

A countback was required to decide that David Ayres and Dale Rayner took second place, Eric Barker and Roy Davidson third place and Jeff Atkinson and Bob Nice in fourth, all with nett 65.
