It’s a miracle... potholes are fixed
Hallelujah, praise the Lord - a miracle has happened...the deep holes around the two drains in Grange Avenue, Mayland, have at last been filled.
Why they weren’t done when the drains were installed, I don’t know.
“Not on me list mate” probably!
It must be getting on for a year of having to straddle them by moving into the middle of the road or if another car came, hit the damn things.
The road has been shut on a couple of occasions during this year and it was thought the agenda was to do the work on them then, but no, can’t do two jobs at once.
Anyway they are done now, just as winter and the salt does its worst and we end up with endless potholes again.

What roadworks are taking place in Market Hill and when will it re-open?
Shutting Market Hill is just chaos
I trust those who advocate closing Market Hill permanently will have seen the chaos caused in the town when it was closed for a couple of days last week.
The High Street, Spital Road and the bypass were badly affected, particularly during the rush hours.
There are too few roads into the town and there is no way of changing that.
Effective lobby groups improve their lot at the expense of others and I worry about those who live in Spital Road and Fambridge Road, and their adjoining road networks.
Closing Market Hill would be sheer madness!
